Thanks to everyone who came to last month’s meeting with the inspiring Kristen Schnepp of Gringa Dairy!
This month we’re getting hands-on making SCRUMPTIOUS SCRUB – either as a treat for yourself or a Christmas gift.
Our tutor will be Barbara Jeffrey. Barbara trained in hairdressing, beauty and massage therapies and has had a long career as a therapist and teacher.
Barbara will be teaching us to make our own lovely scrubs – please bring a clean jam jar to take home your scrub, and also £5 towards the top-quality ingredients we will be using.
She says: “I am passionate about adopting a very natural approach to health and beauty. My approach is to combine science alongside a holistic approach to ensure each individual’s needs are addressed.
“My philosophy in terms of skincare is to use simple, natural ingredients designed to work alongside the skin’s own natural structure and function.”
Looking forward to seeing you!
At our December meeting on 19 December we’ll be getting quizzical with a fun end-of-year quiz. We’ll also be hosting a raffle with some really good prizes up for grabs. If you would like to donate a prize or know a local business who might want to (we’ll thank them on social media!) please get in touch: email@example.com.
We’ll start selling tickets at the November meeting so don’t forget your purse – £5 a strip.
Also if you would like to test out your Christmas recipes, we’d love some Christmas bakes! Let us know: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Joining the WI
2016 WI membership ends on 31 December 2016 – all new/renewing members need to pay their membership fees for next year by 31 January. That’s just £39 for all the meetings in 2017. Don’t forget to bring cash or a cheque made out to Nunhead WI to the January meeting.
If you haven’t joined this year yet, you can come to our November and December meetings as a guest – we’d love to meet you!
