It’s cold, it’s grey, it’s rubbish – you’re broke and you really, really need to have a clear out. Luckily, Nunhead WI has the answer!
At our next meeting we’ll be discussing all things saving money and repeating last year’s successful swishing.
Our speaker is the lovely Lauren Phillips, who writes the Frugal Mrs P blog. She’ll be telling us about how her penny-saving days as a student nurse inspired her to start a blog, and she’ll also offer us tips on ways to save cash.
We’ll also be swishing – clear out your old clobber and swap for something new!
Bring a maximum of three items of clothing to swap – they must be clean and good quality, and on a hanger if possible. No shoes please, but bags are acceptable. You will receive a ticket for each item – and after having a chance to browse – will be able to swap your tickets for someone else’s unwanted clothes.
We also be collecting toiletries for Solace Women’s Aid – do bring along any of those unwanted Christmas gifts!
We will be voting for the WI resolutions for next year. You can read all about them here.
We will also be signing up new members and renewing memberships – just £39 for a year or £19 for dual membership if you belong to another WI. Please bring cheques or cash.
We’re looking forward to seeing everyone – and welcoming new members – for a fun-filled 2017.
